The 4th graders were on a field trip yesterday and we couldn't continue working on our group projects without them. That meant a different plan for this week's class. We learned about an invention that was invented during the time of ancient civilizations: the catapult. After reading about its history, the students worked in groups to develop and build a catapult that could launch the farthest marshmallow. Students had access to: spoons, dixie cups, popsicle sticks, rubber bands, glue gun, duct tape, masking tape, and binder clips. It was a fun morning! :)
