On the field trip, you were asked to choose one disciplinarian role (blue cards) to view the museum through a different perspective. Submit a detailed paragraph about some of the observations you made as a geologist, marine biologist, anthropologist, astrophysicist, botanist, or ecologist. What kinds of exhibits or programs at the museum would've been related to your discipline? Which would have been interesting to your discipline? Why? How would you have answered some of the questions on your disciplinarian card? (click on the card to enlarge it).

Some questions a botanist might ask is, Why do forests have different layers? Also a botanist might ask is that why might animals stay in those layers?

At the field trip I was thinking like a marine biologist. When I was in the aquarium I looked at the fish like that was my job. I looked at the fish and sharks with a lot of detail. I also tried to read the description of the fish.

For the day I chose to be an Ecologist. As and Ecologist one of my favorite exhibits was the Penguin Exhibit because it showed how the penguins had to move to Africa because food was scarce in Antarctica and it was their only other option. It was really interesting to read about how the penguin's condition was before and after they moved. Another one of my favorites was the Marine exhibits because I loved seeing how happy the animals were. It was really fun being an Ecologist because it was just the right job for me!! :-)

At the museum I was a geologist. The part at the museum that they had that would go with my person that I picked, was the earthquake simulator, where you go inside this model of a house and it gives you the experience of knowing what the real earthquake felt like in San Francisco back then when the two biggest earthquakes in San Francisco hit. They also gave you the feeling of what the earthquake effected and what broke and feel during the earthquake.

At the science museum, I especially liked the rain forest with all of the beautiful plants and animals. Even though my group didn't get to the living roof, I was very interested in that feature. When we went into the rain forest dome, we had to go into a room so that the butterflies wouldn't fly out. They also had butterflies and they were beautiful. If I ever went back, I would definitely.

I think like ecologist. I loved looking at the insects and animals. And I saw how they survive in their habitat. The living roof was a very creative way for living things could be raised.

As a botanist I studied plants I was interested in the rain forest exhibit. I was interested in the rain forest exhibit because their were a lot of plants. The plants provided life for the caterpillars in their, they could eat the leaves and build cocoons so they could become butterflies. The leaves could also be camouflage for the tree frogs. Also the butterflies helped the plants by pollinating.

I was a anthropologist and I studied the ways of a human being acted like from her and now. While I was in the museum I saw a lot of different skeleton bones that were different sizes. I saw a girl name Lucy and she was so small because she didn't know how to walk so because she didn't know how to walk she was really tiny. The museum also shows how small the head was and how little there brain was.
