Last week, we spent some time learning about mindsets. Choose a time in your life that shows an example of how you had a fixed mindset or a growth mindset. Write a detailed paragraph with ONE example!
If there was ONE thing that could be used to represent YOU, what would that one thing be? Think of some words- but don't share yet! You'll be choosing one word for today's Design Challenge.
Welcome to GATE Class! I am very excited to share with you our theme for this year: GATEways to Design!
Please post your thoughts to these questions: 1. What does "DESIGN" mean? 2. What do you think of when you hear the word, "DESIGN? It has been an amazing year of growth for not only my students, but myself, as well! Wishing our 6th graders the very best as they head on to middle school To our 4th and 5th graders- have a wonderful summer! See you in Aug.!
Using the skills you've learned this year (collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and creativity), build a structure that will hold the most pennies. You will have access to straws, paper clips, paper, scissors, pipe cleaner, and tape. Share about some of your favorite things we've done in GATE class this year.
Parents, hopefully you've had a chance to look through some of the things your student has worked on this year. Please spend a moment writing a note of encouragement to your student! Thank you for your support!
